I was at the bank recently and the youngish teller greeted me with “hey bro’, how can I help you?”

Now I am not completely old and cranky (at least not yet), but when I enter a business to conduct important financial transactions, I want customer service from someone who does not look like he’s just been weaned off his skateboard or surfboard.

I want steady customer service from a professional. Roger Virgin, a Customer Service Representative at LeBlond Ltd., is just that – a solid bedrock of professionalism. He’s got 40 plus years of experience in the industry and will provide you expertise and reliability when you call in for a parts order for your LeBlond, K.O. Lee or other LeBlond product line.

Virgin started his career as an Army brat in 1973. He was stationed in Germany and worked as Stock Records Control Clerk in the supply and transport battalion. Virgin helped allocate inventory to the entire infantry division.

After his Army stint was up, Virgin turned his managerial and logistical skills honed in the military into a Production Clerk position at LeBlond.

“I was responsible for properly scheduling the parts and units at LeBlond, so the machines would be built on time,” said Virgin. “I was later promoted in the production planning department to Product Specialist for the LeBlond crankshaft lathe line.”

At one time, according to Virgin, every automobile in the country was equipped with a crankshaft that was partly assembled on a LeBlond machine.

“I had the responsibility of coordinating the building of these machines on the floor,” Virgin adds. “I made sure the parts were properly scheduled and the units were available, so the machines could be shipped to customers on time.”

From here, Virgin developed a reputation for professionalism and reliability. He was promoted in subsequent years to positions of greater responsibility including a stint as an Engineering Change Notice Coordinator where he was responsible for coordinating engineering changes in the various LeBlond lathe lines as dictated by the electrical and mechanical engineering department.

In 1989, Virgin became a LeBlond sales representative, a gig similar to what he does today as a Customer Service Representative.

In his free time, Virgin devotes his energies to the outreach program at his church. He enjoys time with his wife of 45 years and his three children, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A man of faith and family, Virgin is a bedrock of reliability who will handle your equipment requests with dedication and competence.
