LeBlond Ltd. is tucked in a tidy but largely undistinguishable industrial park in Amelia, Ohio, a Cincinnati suburb.
Few people realize that the plant that sells new LeBlond lathes and K.O. Lee grinders as well as parts for these and other machine tool product lines is also a fully functioning library.
It is a library without dusty bookshelves or librarians who shush you into embarrassed silence. It is more of a resource library in the sense that it has documentation of detailed and assembly drawings, microfilm and aperture cards containing technical information on thousands of transactions and machine blueprints going as far back as prior to the 1940’s.
Need to know the model and year of your LeBlond lathe? Get the serial number of your machine (to learn how, watch this video here) and fill out the information on the Contact Form of the website to submit your inquiry. LeBlond will research your machine’s history and respond to your request.
The thousands of detail part drawings and unit assembly drawings occupy rows upon rows of neatly organized engineering files in the north end of the LeBlond Ltd. warehouse in Amelia. The drawings cover decades of machine tools for the following product lines: LeBlond, K.O. Lee, Standard Modern, Johnson Press, Deka Drill and W.F. & John Barnes equipment.
The LeBlond documentation area also contains microfilm with machine history and bills of material. The machine history files are catalogued by serial number and contain information such as a copy of the original sales order, the machine model, how the machine was originally configured and the date of shipment.
So LeBlond is a manufacturer, parts supplier and world-class information source for your numerous machine tool requirements. If you need more information, again, contact the LeBlond Ltd. library by filling out this online Contact Form.
If you’re interested in new LeBlond or K.O. Lee machines or interested in original OEM parts for LeBlond, K.O. Lee, Standard Modern, Johnson Press, Deka Drill and W.F. & John Barnes equipment, call LeBlond Ltd. at (888) 532-5663.
I am looking at a Leblond Makino 1530, SN 14C-841 according to the ad. Do you have any information on that machine such as the original specs and do you have parts for that machine? Also, do you have a ballpark figure (just a typical estimate, not a quote) for your rebuild services on 15-17″ swing X 30-50″ centers on Leblond, Regal, and Makino machines?
