Heavy Duty Spindle

The headstock spindle is machined from forged alloy steel. It is hardened, ground and dynamically balanced. Large through hole with convenient D1-8 cam-lock mount. Special attention was given to lubrication channels providing a constant bath of oil to the supporting high grade two precision tapered roller and one precision ball bearing for long life.

VARIABLE SPVariable Speed Spindle With Electronic Control

Three headstock gear ranges that supply a high torque in low range (25 to 100 RPM), mid-range (75 to 370 RPM) and is high range (360 to 1800RPM). The electronic control panel is mounted above the headstock provides a RPM LED display, ON-OFF power indicator light, speed control knob, emergency stop push button and spindle jogging push button. The electronic infinitely variable speed is controlled by an AC inverter duty motor. A 1/8HP electric pump provides the headstock with forced pressure lubrication.

Wide Bed With One Piece Base

One-piece machine floor base is made of solid cast iron. Wide bed design is made of Meehanite casting that is vibration stress relieved. Bed ways are induction hardened to HRC 48-55 and precision ground. Precision hand scraped bed is designed with a removable gap further expanding swing capabilities. The proven LeBlond 2V and flat solid bed structure provides rigidity that assures accuracy and maximum stability. Standard large volume removable chip tray makes for easy chip clean out and disposal.
