Hey Tina: Always appreciate your comments regarding the many facets of the machine tool industry. I am a retired Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer (Seabees). I have worked in the engineering fields all over the United States (40 states plus Argentina, Chile, Peru and China. The cross section of people would fill a book. After getting my Master’s Degree, I (briefly) thought about teaching machine tool operation. Found out I could make twice as much money fixing said tools. Recently retired at 83 and am working on a book. Nothing to do with work (poetry).

One thing that I discovered in many machine shops was the lack of skilled people. If we do not get busy and get back to the trade schools, China etc will do the work!
